Stuff

These albums are part of the new releases by American Crafts. I really need to buy some more albums to get my layouts out of pizza boxes and in a position to be viewed. Check out some more of their stuff here.

New scrappy stuff is always so exciting. I just get a little frustrated at the time it takes to actually arrive here in NZ. I do think the scrapping world is a little crazy in the way they keep coming up with new stuff - so much more than one could actually hope to keep up with.

Is it necessary to always be using new stuff? When does old stuff become officially old? I wonder if the industry can actually keep up the pace of releasing new stuff at this rate for much longer?

I guess as long as companies keep producing the stuff, I'll go on seeing it and wanting it.

Speaking of new stuff - I've spent the week wondering why my desk still has an orange look to it - the orange layout of the weekend has been put away and all scraps filed but still when I look over at my desk I get an 'orange' impression.

It's my new fiskars trimmer.

I'm enjoying using it - specially the sharpness of it ... a sharp trimmer makes a whole lot of difference to my scrapping.

I will hopefully have some more creative stuff to put on here by the weekend. My cousin is getting married on Saturday and I have a gift to make, cards to make and also a horse shoe - cause I couldn't bring myself to pay $25 for something I could make better myself! Oh and I also plan on making myself a new necklace to wear.

So I guess I'll be busy for the next few days...

Sounds like you are going to be busy Beverley in the next few days. Those ablums look great - but you do have to wonder whey they will slow down with all he new products. I think I am going to have to avoid the scrap shops so that I don't get tempted. Honestly with what I have here at home, I could probably scrap all year and still not run out of supplies.

I'm loving those albums! I have 6 albums but that is not enough room for all my layouts, so my old "hideous" pages are in pizza boxes! I find the post-bound albums don't hold as many pages as I'd like. The ones in that photo look like they would hold heaps!

The scrapbooking industry will eventually slow down. All crafts have done that, even ones like cross-stitch (in the 80's!!) that were at "fever-pitch" when they first came out. Nothing lasts at that intensity forever ...

Ooh I love those albums too! They look so rich and lovely. I agree that the scrapbooking industry must slow down sometime, but it is at a high right now and I can't see it happening for alittle while yet. I for one don't always use new products, in fact I have papers and embellies from 4 years ago when I was in the States. I do see the new stuff used on layouts and think ooh that looks so awesome I would love that. But I stick to my kits where someone else has done the hard work and put the new things together, then i am less likely to overspend on new stuff. At the end of the day it is all gorgeous!

Wow, I love the look of those albums! The way I am creating at the moment I may need new albums! Good luck with all your creations!

I love "stuff" and have heaps of "stuff". Am trying to make a big effort this year to use what I have and to think twice about new "stuff". Definitely too much around though.

Temptation ... ummmm ... guilty your honour, when it comes to new scrapping supplies. I just can not help myself - and I'm honest - lol.

I really like some of the new stuff coming out BUT I'm making a real effort to use up some of the other stuff I've got... I seem to accumulate it all so quickly LOL Totally agree with you about the outrageous price of horse shoes... especially when some of them look like they wouldn't make it through the wedding day! Hope the wedding goes really well and you have a great time :)
